A project under the 2nd cooperation between Beijing Zhongkun Invest. Group and the People's Government of Yi county, Qishu Lake International Holiday Resort in the city of Mountain Huangshan is located beside the Qishu Lake in the northeast of the Yi county seat, only 3 km from Hongcun Village, the World Cultural Heritage. It is embraced by layers of mountains, with wild flowers blossoming and birds circling in the air above the broad and peaceful lake surface. The sceneries around are truly charming and gentle, and endowed with humanist concern. The project takes a place of more than 400 mu, with a planned investment of RMB 0.2 billion, about to be built into a convergence of conference, holiday, entertainment and leisure of world class, constituted with recreational and receptional facilities, a five-star hotel, fishing center, sports center, and villas of Hui style operated under the form of property right. The whole building is divided into four parts: A, B, C, and D. Part A is where the hotel is, including guest rooms, conference hall, food & beverges, entertainments, and public facilities; Part B belongs to the villas for families and units on holiday; and Part C, D are the villa area for people of membership and top grade travelling. After the completion of the resort, there will be a daily reception of 1,400 people.

The process of building Qishu Lake International Holiday Resort in the city of Mountain Huangshan, will change the incongruity between the present service equipments and the location of the World Cultural Heritage, greatly enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the tourim industry in Yi county and even the whole Mountain Huangshan area, and realize in a real sense the strategy programmed for the tourism industry of Mountain Huangshan, i.e., “to visit the wonders of Mountain Huangshan, view the ancient villages in Southern Anhui, and accommodate in the villagers'”, as well as solve the problem of unemployment by providing chances for the jobless.

“No match is found at home and abroad for Mountain Huangshan in Anhui; no mountain is in mind after visiting Mountain Huangshan; ——alas! it's here the peak of perfection!” This comment by Xu Xiake, a great traveller in the Ming Dynasty, expresses the affection from countless men of letters for Mountain Huangshan through generations. With an altitude of 1,860 km, Mountain Huangshan is famous for its rare beauty and elegance, plus the rare pine trees, the grotesque stones, the sea of clouds, and the hot springs, which have overwhelmed countless personages. At the foot of Mountain Huangshan, the town of the ancient State of Hui, is an assemblage of different customs and merchants nationwide. Such personages of Confucianism as Zhang Xun, Zhu Xi, Xu Guo, Tao Xingzhi, and Hu Shi were born here; there are also the Hui nabobs that have ruled the Chinese business world for hundreds of years. As the main source of the Hui culture, Yi county has for generations enjoyed its fame as “a fairyland beyond the earthliness” for the pure and honsest folk way, and the absorbing sceneries here. Tao Qian, a great poet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, wrote the renowned Upon The Peachblossom Fountain after visiting Mountain Huangshan. Many people in ancient times “decided to live here for its clear waters and elegant mountains”.
